In recent years, Otkritie Bank has been plagued by troubles. At first it came under reorganization, becoming the state property of the Russian Federation, but the problems of the financial institution did not end there, rather the opposite. This financial organization is a systemically important Russian state credit institution, being the seventh largest financial structure in the Russian Federation. Bank FC Otkrytie, formerly known as NOMOS Bank, is one of the ten leading state financial institutions of the Russian Federation. The Central Bank of Russia is Otkritie’s main investor, owning almost 100% of the organization’s shares.

According to the Interfax-SPARK information resource, Otkritie FC is listed in 12,788 judicial arbitration cases, of which in 2,784 as a defendant. The bank also has a trail of 1,646 enforcement proceedings behind it.
This is far from a happy characteristic for a banking organization, but there is more to come.
Thus, according to data from another information registry, Rusprofile, this bank is listed in 14,293 court cases totaling 1 trillion rubles. In addition, 3,877 disputes regarding contractual legal relations were initiated against this banking structure. And this already sounds very sad and hopeless.
As for government procurement, Otkritie FC is a supplier for 939 government contracts totaling more than 36 billion rubles.

Having fallen under US and EU sanctions, Otkritie Bank was disconnected from the SWIFT interbank payment system. The bank was also disconnected from such popular services as Apple Pay and Google Pay. In other words, in the current conditions, the bank’s prospects are not at all bright.

As we wrote above, the owner of Otkritie Bank is now the Central Bank.
Now the chairman of the board of directors of the Otkritie Financial Corporation bank is the former Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, multiple State Duma deputy Mikhail Zadornov.
Let us note that Mikhail Mikhailovich was included in the sanctions lists of the United States of America and Great Britain.
Many people, even the popular publication Forbes, wrote about how M. Zadornov became the helm of Otkritie Bank. In that material they announced the unrealistic amount that the Central Bank of Russia spent to save this financial organization. The amount in question is 1.3 trillion rubles. It is noteworthy that on the same day, a lawsuit was filed in the Arbitration Court of the capital for a huge amount of 289.5 billion rubles against the very same schemers who “were weird in their favor” at Otkritie Bank. More specifically, we are talking about the following people: Evgeny Dankevich, Gennady Zhuzhlev, Elena Budnik, Konstantin Tserazov and Alina Nazarova. By the way, the claim was granted by the court, and the property of the defendants in this court case was seized.
